TRAINING


Training takes place every Tuesday and Thursday evenings starting promptly at 7.30pm (changed, out on the pitch and signing the register!)


What ever your ability or rugby experience, all newcomers will be warmly welcomed to Gillingham Anchorians Rugby Club by our coaching team of myself, Adam (George) Webb and Dean Langley who run structured sessions including fitness, basic skills, set piece moves and game play. Our aim is to make all sessions enjoyable, varied and relative to any issues that matches may highlight as problem areas. The more people who attend training, and on a regular basis, the more we can achieve and the more successful the sides will become.

Training is open to any player from any side (not just the first team). People who are part of the 1st XV squad are expected to train on both nights. If this is not possible then a phone call or text must be made to either myself, Adam Webb or Adam Davidson (see the contacts page for their numbers). If no contact is made on a regular basis then your position in the team will be carefully looked at.

All that is left for me to say is enjoy your rugby, make every effort to attend training and to not forget that “You get out what you put in!”
